Offset Strategic Services, Making a Difference at Alabama School of Cyber Technology & Engineering
Huntsville, 22 November, 2023 – Offset Strategic Services (OSS) is proud to announce its mentorship of the ASCTE Robotics Team(s). Our OSS staff members, Slade White and Chris Hill, provide weekly guidance to students in technical skills and program management.
The ASCTE teams are part of the FIRST Tech Challenge, where students aged 12-18 learn engineering principles through robot design, building, and coding. The robots are built on a reusable platform, use Android technology, and are programmed with Java-based software.
Recently, the ASCTE Robotics Team(s) participated in their first scrimmage, competing against 14 other Alabama teams. The performance was impressive, with one team advancing to the Championship Round and finishing 2nd.
This collaboration highlights the dedication of ASCTE students and the support provided by OSS in nurturing future technology leaders.
