Jeff Williams, OSS Chief Operating Officer, went back to his roots at Winston County High School in Double Springs, AL to help promote Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEAM) to high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors from across the Winston County School District. Along with other engineering and technology companies from Huntsville, as well as businesses from the local area, first responder organizations, and the National Guard and Reserves, Jeff talked with high school students about potential STEAM opportunities in Huntsville and provided suggestions on how to prepare for and pursue careers in technology. Having graduated from Winston County High School, Jeff truly enjoyed contributing to the Winston County STEAM program and helping students interested in technology pursue their career dreams.
The job fair, held on April 27th at the Winston County Career Academy, was a significant opportunity for local youth to explore a variety of career paths. The event connected students with professionals from sectors like aerospace, defense, FBI, cybersecurity, and various engineering fields, aimed to expand career opportunities for students from Addison, Meek, Lynn, and Winston County High Schools. Williams' journey from Double Springs to a successful COO of an Engineering and Technical Services Company in Huntsville served as a powerful inspiration, showing the impact of ambition coupled with education.
